Mush share new single

Single release: Out now
Label: Memphis Industries

Following on from their debut album “3D Routine”, Leeds art rockers Mush have shared their new single “Dead Beat” and details of their upcoming 5 track 7” EP “Great Artisanal Formats”, which will be released via Memphis Industries on 29th August for Record Store Day 2020.

Dead Beat is classic Mush, taking a basic punk tune and turning it on its head with freaky tuning. Dan Hyndman describes “Dead Beat” as follows: “Dead beat is one of our oldest songs. We toyed around with having it on 3D Routine but for some reason it felt more at home among the shorter, zanier tracks of the RSD release. I think when i wrote it i was still working in an office as a data monkey, it has that data driven angst to it. Thankfully those days are done.

Mush’s debut album “3D Routine” is out now. Recorded at the tail end of summer of 2019 at Green Door Studio in Glasgow and mixed by Andy Savours (Dream Wife, Our Girl, My Bloody Valentine),“3D Routine” garnered praise from the likes of UNCUT (8/10), Loud & Quiet (8/10),Louder Than War(8/10), Dork (★★★★),as well as heavy rotation from BBC 6 Music and KEXP.
